Expression of Interest are invited for Fiberco E&S assessment The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, fosters sustainable economic growth in developing countries by financing private sector investment, mobilizing private capital in local and international financial markets, and providing advisory and risk mitigation services to businesses and governments. One of IFC-s priorities is to support the development of open access wholesale networks in developing markets to improve the quality and affordable access to broadband internet for all. IFC is exploring an investment opportunity in the open access wholesale network (“Fiberco”) space in Turkiye. It requires an assessment of the environmental and social (E&S) aspects of the project. This includes defining and undertaking an E&S screening criteria that shall be applied to the Fiberco network expansion against IFC-PS requirements (PS 1-8). Also, a high-level review of the national legal requirements on the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process and the applicability of the EIA processes to the project as well as the national land use regulation needs to be undertaken. The selected consultant needs to demonstrate relevant previous local and/or international experience and technical expertise in similar assignments. The WBG reserves the right to publicly disclose contract award information, including but not limited to, name of company receiving the award, brief description of services, and contract award amount, for any contract award valued over US$250,000. Offeror's proposal and contractual documents will remain confidential and therefore not subject to disclosure.
