- Expression of Interest are invited for Decarbonization of Istanbul's Passenger Ferries and Urban Waterborne Transportation System. This study to decarbonize the urban waterborne transport system, including passenger ferries, in Istanbul is framed under the World Bank Project Sustainable Urban Mobility in Turkey (the Project). The scope of the study is the development of the required technical, financial, and operational engineering to ensure the decarbonization of Istanbuls Urban Waterborne Transportation system, including passenger ferries. The assignment will include, inter alia: (i) definition and technical configuration of the urban waterborne transport infrastructure in Istanbul, including ferries, facilities and equipment, green provision and grid; (ii) preparation and engagement of key stakeholders in Istanbul to support the development of the project; (iii) definition of financial aspects, including market analysis and definition of the different business models; and (iv) revision of the different operating models, ICT and required technology, regulations and standards, etc. The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
